Discernment Conversations to Guide the Pastor Search
January – February 2012
Pastor Paul will be hosting conversations to help prepare the way for the work of a pastor search committee on Wednesday
evenings and Sunday afternoons and evenings during January and February. Conversations will take place in small groups of up to
eight people. Sign up for a date and time that fits your schedule. You can sign up at the Happenin' Headquarters, or you can
email the church office or Pastor Paul to sign up.
Discussion Guide
Describe the strengths of your church—the best of what you are as a particular expression of the body of Christ—and what
you can offer a new pastor. Identify what makes your church uniquely attractive to people in your local community.
Describe changes currently occurring in the community in which your congregation ministers and identify ways God is
acting among you to meet these new challenges.
Name some of your church’s most passionate hopes and why they are significant.
